Presentation Guidelines

Paper Length

Papers should be no more than twenty minutes in length. Plenary speakers are allowed thirty five minutes.

Meeting Rooms

All meeting rooms come equipped with a podium with a light, a microphone, a laser pointer, an overhead projector, slide projector and a PowerPoint projector with computer.

Presentation Preview

Facilities will be available for previewing slide and PowerPoint presentations.

PowerPoint Presentations

  • A computer and digital projector is provided in each session for PowerPoint presentations.
  • All computers provided have high speed internet access.
  • Please do not bring a personal computer for presentations.
  • Please bring presentations on one of the following digital storage devices: 700MB or 800MB CD/r or CD/rw Portable USB storage device
  • Please label digital storage media with the name of the presenter.
  • All PowerPoint presentations must be in one of the following file formats: PowerPoint 97/98/Me/2000/XP.

Slide Presentations

  • Please bring all slide presentations in a standard, North American, slide carousel.
  • Please label slide carousels with the presenters name.

Award

The Bea Loveseth Memorial Award is given to the best paper submitted by an Undergraduate or Master's student. Deadline for receipt of papers to the award selection committee is Monday November 2, 2009.  For further details, please see our Bea Loveseth Memorial Award page.
