  • Dr. Geoffrey McCafferty presented "The Mexican Legacy in Nicaragua, or Problems When Data Behave Badly" at this year's American Anthropological Assocation meetings in Montreal.

  • Dr. Jane Kelley was invited to be present at the 7th Palenque Mesa Redonda by the organizing committee for the conference and by the Instituto Nacional de Antropologia e Historia (INAH) where they honored recently deceased Mayanists, including Dr. David Kelley.  It was held from November 27th to December 3rd, 2011 in Palenque, Chiapas.
