Dr. Geoffrey McCafferty presented "The Mexican Legacy in Nicaragua, or Problems When Data Behave Badly" at this year's American Anthropological Assocation meetings in Montreal. Dr. Jane Kelley was invited to be present at the 7th Palenque Mesa Redonda by the organizing committee for the conference and by the Instituto Nacional de Antropologia e Historia (INAH) where they honored recently deceased Mayanists, including Dr. David Kelley. It was held from November 27th to December 3rd, 2011 in Palenque, Chiapas.
